Aberdeen Science Centre (ASC) plays an important role in engaging the public with science and supporting Scotland’s journey towards net zero.
Through interactive exhibitions, workshops and educational programmes, ASC helps young people understand the science behind energy production, sustainability and climate change.
By presenting complex ideas in an accessible and engaging way, the centre encourages students to explore how new technologies and innovative thinking can contribute to a low-carbon future. A key focus of ASC’s work is helping young people understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the global energy transition. Interactive exhibits allow visitors to explore topics such as renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental science.
These experiences connect classroom learning with real-world applications and help students develop an informed understanding of how science and engineering can address climate change.
By offering 60 interactive exhibits, workshops, and educational programs tailored to young learners, ASC provides an engaging environment where students can explore complex scientific concepts in an accessible way.
ASC also works closely with Robert Gordon University (RGU) to support education and outreach initiatives.
By bringing together academic expertise and hands-on learning, ASC and RGU help inspire the next generation to engage with science and contribute to a sustainable future.
